mainly for the d150 , didnt the d150 trucks/vans still use v-belts up 93

LA=V-belts
Magnum=Serpentine

Not sure when but I wish they wouldn't have

Doesn't seem to make much difference with my stuff. The old power steering adjusting bolts were always a pain with the V belt system.
With the serpentine system, how the belts run around the pulleys is the biggest pain, and just for good measures, about every 5 or so years, I'll install a new belt tensioner, The tension spring in them tends to get weak, or sticks and causes the belt does slip and then strange things to happen..

The magnum motors were installed with the beginning of the 93 model year. Across the board, the LA 3.9. or 5.2 was replaced at the beginning of the model year (the LA 5.9 (360) may have held on for another year).

yes i did as a question on harmonic balancers in the the Q&A section and wasnt getting any hits , the situation i bought a 89 ramcharger i had a mobile mechanic check it out for me and he said it was good to go. before it was shipped they informed me the balancer need replaced i said ok when i receive it it now has a engine vibration so i thought they may have used a 5.9 magnum not a 360 LA balancer their mobile mech. brought up the belt system i know the 5.9 started to be use in 92 and the crank pulley was separate item on the early ones , so i just think its a 318 or 5.9 balancer , i`ll did into it in a few weeks thanks

A 89 should be a LA motor, It's possible a magnum was swapped in. Look at the block casting #, If it's either 53006714 or 53006657(318) and 5302006 for the 360 it's a magnum.
