It was wonderful to read all these comments.
Only used Brewers myself but will try Passon now too.

I'm one of the few guys in the UK that actually likes four speed Mopars.
Most get converted to auto which in my book is a crime!

The four speed cars I've owned have always had shifter issues.
Jumping out of second and top in my 70 Cuda.

The earlier inland shifter was tricky at best, so I'm wary of fitting one to my 66 Coronet.
Is it best to go Hurst every time?

My drag car will have a Vertigate and hopefully it will allow for power shifting???
Four speeds are for real Moparmen and Ladies of course.

So Cal

I have bought transmissions from both Brewers(Dan & Wayne) and Passon(Jamie)...
Both places are top-notch and provide incredible support for our Mopar 4-speeds.
1 thing I like about Passon is that they can supply an almost completly new 4-speed, as they have tooled their own set of new overdrive gears for the 18-spline transmssions..
In my older senior years when I replaced the A-833 in my RoadRunner I wanted new gears, as the rebuilts supplied by Brewers and Passon use reconditioned gears from older cores.
Even though I reside in SoCal, 1 dealt with Jamie @Passon, he responded promptly and shipped me an almost completely new transmssion with overdrive gears.
Installed it and now several 000 miles later all is well.

Just my $0.02... wink

Brewers has an adapter to use the Inland handle on a Hurst mechanism.

Looks right AND shifts right.

I wouldn't buy a bottle of water from Passon. There is a 19 page thread over on FABO where the poster purchased one of Passon's new 5 speeds and all of the horror dealings he had to go thru with Jamie. Avoid him like the plague!

I agree. I have never had a good experience with Passon. Mail box always full. No reply if e mailed. Etc etc. His prices aren’t that bad,IF you could get in touch with him to purchase. Just my opinion. Every one has one, this is mine.

Zero issues with JP or Brewers. I myself have always kept anything read good or bad related to the 5 speed project separate from the normal business dealing with JP as I have no opinion on that either way.

I only deal with Brewers now. Jamie went though some tough times with a divorce and it hurt his business practices. I’m not going to say anymore about my experiences. Divorce kicks you in the but, so I’m not piling on here. Brewers gives me great fast service. They have a bigger team to help out as well. I don’t have to talk to Dan or Wayne much anymore. The girl does a good job with parts and is always friendly. They ship parts fast as well. No need to go anywhere else.
