I'm rebuilding my 67 440&need opinions on cams.The motor will have the stock 915 heads and valvetrain. Stock stroke probably stock style pistons.I want to go with a cam that gives decent vacuum&streetability yet has a lope to it if possible. Any ideas?

You just can't beat the big Summit cam and lifter kit for about $100 it is 465 488 lift I think. Folks on here will beat you to death about a "more modern" grind but lots of folks really like that cam and for a cruiser it is great and hey! it is about 1/2 the cost of the others and most all of the lifters out there are the SAME so that is my

good cam, ran 12.90's in a 67 coronet w/ one. I've used 3 in mild 440's. Good street cam.

I agree.They work especially for the price.Under 90 bucks I think for cam and lifters.Rocky

I saw those cams They say except 66-67 why is that?O.K. I called Summit & they said push rods on the 67 engine need to be changed to 68 & later style.They recommend adjustable rockers as well.Are adjustable rockers nessessary?

Use the later push rods and go with stamped rockers--I would get a new set-- they are perfect for that setup--they are quiet-dependable as a stone ax-and CHEAP.

Mopar Performance kit--I don't know the number but it is the same kit they have had forever--Got mine from Marsh

yes 66-67's use a tappered push rod. They sell new ones for under $40...just grab a set

because he wanted to sell you a set... no need for them w/ that cam. It runs good as is.

I agree have to change push rods.Like said Id change the rockers as the elongate after a while some worse than others.Mancini has them also.No adjaustbles are needed.Rocky
