This going to be hard to answer but I thought I'd throw it out here in the event a swap meet junkie may be nearby or traveling through this area.
I have a reasonable number of parts that have been accumulated over the years. I'll be honest in saying i don't even know for sure what all is there. A car or two, A good assortment of carb parts, ( AVS thermo quad and ?), 2 complete BB 727 cores ( 1is a 64 Console shift) A butt load of 727 parts and valve bodies, BB water pump housings, distributors and parts some 68 charger stuff ( not a lot), 68-9 B body outside door handles, 68 side marker lights a bin or two of new repro stuff, along with nuts bolts, fasteners , head studs for a 2nd gen hemi, various gaskets and the list goes on.

What are the chances of finding someone interested in the entire lot??? I don't have the time or desire to start researching what everything is and fits much less listing the stuff. I do realize a buyer would have to make $$ on the deal and don't expect market pricing but something worthwhile for him and myself.

Screwy idea??? thanks for any input beer

there are buyers for this. not a lot of them, but will depend on how good your mopar connections are on finding one.
problem is unless there are rare parts involved these buyers won't pay much over $.02 on $1.00 of value IF you find one.

IMOP if you don't want to waste a lot of TIME don't wait for the Christmas rush and just scrap them. almost no one buys this stuff these days
tf it were me i would start with putting the small easily shippable parts on ebay and go from there.

I am in the same situation. 50 year accumulation. 11 cars, Hemi, Six pack, NOS ect. Not enough time left to sell it by piece. Thinking on offering it as a whole but not giving it away either. Sure I am not the only one as we are all getting older and do not want to pass the problem on to my wife.

Thanks but not going to drive 150 miles without an agreed to number which is going to be hard to come to at this point as I haven't inventoried it and really don't want to frown
I need to get all the parts together snap a few pic's and go from there. I might give him a call at that point. Time is my problem right now. But,I'm just going to have to do it at some point.

Thnaks to all for the responses good or bad beer

Ebay is still good for small stuff, but raise the price enough to get ahead of their fees.

Big heavy parts are harder to sell due to shipping costs typically unless you have a must have part.

CL is kinda dead here as far as old cars or parts. Everyone seems to have moved to Facebook it appears. I have sold stuff on CL for fair prices, but sometimes it takes months. Noticed that CL buyers seem to be older and are the type to make phone calls and actually show up in person. E-mailers tend to end up not buying anything. If you can get them in front of the parts chances are they will buy it, but getting them off the couch is the hard part.

To bad your not on the west coast as I have a decent amount of contacts that would be interested in bulk buys. Might try selling bulk on ebay with no reserve and see how that goes.

It's a fairly common problem - probably rates as "minor" in my case, but a couple racer friends have trailers full.
It comes down to what your time is worth vs parts value, and it's rarely if ever convenient.
I've just given stuff to folks that can use it, sold some stuff cheaply that I'll never need, but there's still some stuff for sale that's taking a while.
The Ebay/PayPal thing will run about 14% and takes a bit more time than FBM or CL, but generally there's less flakiness.
What seems odd to me is that in the last couple of years, ads on Moparts, FABO, & FBBO barely get a response.

One buddy with a fair amount of Maxie & Race Hemi stuff can't seem to move it, and I don't think he's overpriced, but that's a small market.

Seems to be a common problem these days

I know of a few people looking to thin the heard and/or parts stash. Some thinning all the way to nothing.

Seems like a buying opportunity for a younger person. The cars will remain popular, in my opinion, for the foreseeable future. As the parts supply dwindles, prices on remaining parts will go up. I didn't say prices of cars will go up, I said they will remain popular. If popular, you'll need parts.

Just throwing it out there, I was at Welborns Muscle Car museum a couple of weeks ago. He has a pretty decent stash of part there, he could possibly be interested ? You never know, may be worth a call. He’s in Alexander City Alabama
When I retired I sold lots of stuff on Moparts took about 4 months.

Good Luck
Andy

Although the timing isn't great, feel free to send them my way. I'm just dumb enough to be a buyer. beer
