I am curious on what fan shroud my 68 road runner should have. It currently doesn't have one, and the radiator has no place to mount one. Would it be the 2 piece metal one, or a one piece plastic? 22" radiator, no A/C. Thanks!

The shroud on my '68 RR (22" radiator) is a 2-piece metal deal.
Upper & lower halves, mounted using brackets that attach to the shroud sides and the sides of the radiator.

Thanks! That's what I thought. Do you have pictures of the brackets you could send me? I will have to make them. I have the 2 pieces of the shroud already.

I can take some later on - Classic Industries has a repro setup, if that helps.

Left & Right brackets - note slight width offset.

Thanks for the pictures! I got this shroud off a wrecked 69 GTX, with a 68 front clip. I had assumed that it was a 68 B body shroud. Now, after seeing your pictures I know it's not. Any idea what it is from?

Nope - looks a bit similar, but appears to bolt on differently.
It might work with mods to use side brackets, if accuracy isn't a concern.
What I remember of my Early B shrouds is that they were like the '68 in shape & mounting.
The 22" radiator in my '69 RR - very original, unmolested, super-low mile car - looks like my '68 car, same shroud mounting holes, but has no shroud.
I think the plastic 22" shrouds debuted maybe '70 model year ?
My 26" radiator '68 RRs used plastic shrouds, though.

if the shroud pictured is plastic, it almost looks like a cut down mid to late 70's C-body shroud. maybe ? shruggy

The shroud is steel. I think it's from a C-body.
