I posted this a few weeks back and am wondering if there are any updated experiences? Due to my recent ID exposure the need for a cell has moved up in priority.
The neighbor has Verizon and is quite happy with it but they say i am not eligible as they can only have so many numbers per tower frown
T Mobile can do it but their reputation seems or was spotty. In addition their offered speed is slower.
So, I am hoping for any updated info that's good or bad .
Thanks and please make sure your critical accounts are secured with TFA beer

We are using Verizon 5G internet along with 2 new Samsung 5G phones with unlimited data, etc. $133/month. Over a year now with zero issues. WAY better than the crap service from Spectrum at 1/2 the cost.

If you're in an area that does not offer reliable cable or fiber internet - this may be an option.

For internet from a cell tower. The number one thing is how far you are from a cell tower. That should be easy to search and figure out. Then determain which carriers use that tower. I can't give you any exact distances, but for years I was out of range of a tower, even a simple phone call on a cell phone was sketchy. Luckily a new tower went up about a 1/4 mile from me. Verizon uses it, but I subscribed to Visable, which is branch of Verizon. $30/ month, voice, text, unlimited data (at a rate that I'm sure is metered). I can use my cell phone as a hot spot and easily stream YouTube TV. I still have Cox as an internet supplier (cable), but haven't canceled them as they host my email, and I'm dragging my feet on changing my email address. I do think StarLink is an interesting option. Good luck

i would venture to guess how far one is from a cell tower would dictate how much string you would need to attach your tin can to the tower for service............................... biggrin [i couldn't resist. boogie laugh2]
