I had asked before but can’t remember the answers. I want a long lasting tire, not for racing, what do y’all suggest? Don’t have size off hand but they’re to low profile, ( 20?)

I guess my car is a distant relative. Its a 2007 Dodge Magnum R/T.

I have had very good luck with Michelin tires on this car plus other SUVs and Trucks.

Something to consider. Stopping distance. The following was copied from Quora

"High mileage tires are designed to last longer by using harder rubber compounds and different tread designs compared to regular tires. While they do offer excellent durability and longevity, they may sacrifice some level of comfort and performance compared to tires with softer compounds or specialized designs.

Ride Comfort: High mileage tires may not provide the same level of comfort as softer tires because the harder rubber compound used in high mileage tires can result in a firmer ride. So, if ride comfort is your top priority, you may want to consider this trade-off.
Handling and Performance: High mileage tires may not offer the same level of grip and handling performance as tires with softer compounds. If you prioritize performance and handling, you might find that high mileage tires are not the best choice for your driving needs.
Durability and Longevity: High mileage tires excel in terms of durability and longevity. If you do a lot of driving and want tires that will last a long time, high mileage tires can be a good option.
Driving Conditions: Consider the driving conditions you typically encounter. If you drive mostly on smooth highways and prioritize longevity over ride comfort, high mileage tires could be a good choice. However, if you frequently drive on rough roads or in inclement weather, you might prefer tires that offer better traction and handling.
Ultimately, the decision between high mileage tires and tires that prioritize comfort will depend on your driving preferences and priorities. If you value longevity and durability over ride comfort and performance, high mileage tires could be a good fit for your needs. However, if ride comfort and performance are more important to you, you may want to explore other tire options that better suit your preferences."

Granted this was a while ago but my Magnum came with Continental Tires, they lasted 40,000 miles and I had no problems with them.

I replaced them with a set of Michelins that lasted 86,000 miles. Those were replace recently at 60,000 miles but mostly because of age, they still had quite a bit of tread.

The first 170,000 miles or so included a lot of road miles, mostly city since then, the car now has close to 190,000.

Conti's, a great all around tire. Great grip, good rain and, for a while snow, and a good price. I have the DSW's and love them.
