I'm looking to buy a repro Tuff wheel. Would like the same 14 1/2 diameter as the original factory wheel and hopefully padded like the originals. The repros I've seen have a rock hard rim. Any suggestions?

Grant makes a reproduction that's dead nuts correct. I had one on my Duster.

I see the descriptions says foam grip. Am I to assume it has a liile give to the grip, instead of the very hard grip on others I've seen?

Honestly I have yet to see one dead nuts on. Some are closer than others though. I don`t like the hard grip on the one I have.

Yes as I mentioned, I don't like the hard grip. I'd like to confirm that it has a little cushion to it before I buy it. I see it's a 15" OD as opposed to the 14 1/2" on the original. I could probably live with the extra 1/4" all the way around

There is a customer review of the Grant Tuff Wheel posted on the Classic Industries website which stated it was hard outside rubber, "not soft at all"

That's been my experience with the Grant wheel in the past.

I bought a GT Performance Retro Tuff wheel on Ebay a couple years ago for $250 for my Challenger..
I used my old Rim Blow center cap as a horn button.

Well "dead nuts" is about 90% . . . the repro wheel has the "formed lines" on wheel, facing the driver . . . where as OE wheels, had "single line" running around inside of the grip . . . other than that, they are GREAT ! Only see the difference when have both together . . .

This one seems to be the closest to what I'm looking for.

I also need to check this one out. I've ruled out the Grant wheel.

I looked at all the pics - they look OK, but not even close to "dead nuts." I have two of them that look like NOS & they are both originals - one of them I took off a car - I don't even remember what it was. The other one I bought off someone many years ago - back in the 80's - I know the guy said it came off a Dodge van. When they are perfect, they are shiny - like coated with a clear lacquer. And they are nice & spongy, not exactly soft, but not hard. They are kick-a$$ steering wheels & have a VERY nice feel when driving. I bought a 30,xxx mile all original 1975 Roadrunner back in 1985 from a car lot in AZ. & the Tuff wheel was covered in a steering wheel cover probably since day 1. I took the cover off & the steering wheel was like absolute new. It felt outstanding. I understand why these are so sought after! I plan on using both of mine on my Cudas.

I saw a pretty decent one at Carlisle for $250 with the can, $200 w/out.

Any chance you have a swap space number? My friend is there now.

Sorry, guessing H or lower letter row. Maybe C?

He had 2, the one I mentioned was better than the other. I almost bought it knowing someone was looking, but no guarantee it would be what he wanted.

looks decent from a distance but is far from dead nuts on. its hard rubber. had one in my old dart. i liked it but it was quite sticky out of the box. after a few cleanings it was ok.

Incorrect dish, wrong spoke cover length, wrong finish, wrong center cap, no foam, wrong diameter wheel, wrong diameter of grip......

It's a simple round piece of metal cut by a machine, with foam glued to it: ffs's what is so hard about doing an exact copy of an original? Especially for the price they are asking. shruggy
