Anyone know a source for the cable that runs inside the console shifter for a 1966 B body

The Ford suppliers used to sell the cable for the Ford shifters which should fit the Mopars. But I couldn't find them with a quick search. I don't see why you couldn't make one, it's not that complicated a piece. Me, I'm going to go with the Hemi Joel modification and use the original handle with a later box and get rid of the "wet noodle" shifter.

ZOWEE !!!!!!!!!!!! eek
a fellow gave me a rusty, junk shifter a couple of years ago, and it was missing that cable.
i made one from scratch, using bicycle cable, some nylon stock i had laying around, a grade 8 machine screw for the threaded end and a chunk of ???? steel on the shelf.
hydraulic crimped and silver soldered the ends to the cable, and it seems to work as it should.
however, it took me a few days to do this, but at least it kept me out of trouble during that time. biggrin
for the "time is money" guys, maybe the cost is worth it ?
