If i wanted to build a cheap (relatively) gen 3 hemi to push a 3000 lb bracket car to sub 10.00 in the 1/4, what would YOU build?
Here is what i have. No gen 3 hemi parts, but would use my alky constant flow fuel injection system that has a Terminater throttle body like a dominater carb. So that puts me into needing a good gen 3 carb intake with the dominater pattern. Headers i would build myself, stock rockers but good springs and a cam ground for power from 5,000 to 7,000 rpm, maybe 7500 if required to get enough power to run 10.00 on a poor day with DA of 4500 feet.
I was hoping i could get by with buying rods and pustons, and maybe using a stock 6.4 crank? Other ideas?
I am assuming it will take 650 dyno hp to reach my goal. Am i seeing this correctly?
