As in complete hoods, not just scoops to be bonded onto other hoods?

I don't, but someone is advertising what looks to be a new-in-box MAS (no longer in business) Challenger Six Pack hood they say came from Mopar originally confused

Post a picture of it. If it was a MAS hood, I'd know it right away. They had a very distinct look to them.

Too bad it's not a bolt-on, instead of a pin-on...

Looks very lightweight to me; does that type of stuff hold up in street use?

That does look like a MAS hood...underneath anyway. I had a MAS 6 pack hood on my cuda for a while. It was a lift off. Very light and very flimsy. Needed a ton of hold downs to keep it from flying off the car at 120 mph. Even then it was scary watching it through the windshield.

Looks like a serious "Flexy Flyer". My old US Body Source T/A lift-off hood was built like a tank compared to that thing. Sold that to get the repro T/A bolt-on hood which I later modified for more hood scoop clearance.

I like the MAS' style and the extra hood clearance because of how the scoop is on top of a raised area, but really not sure of how fragile it would be. Probably need an extra pin in the center of the front (so did the US Body Source) and an extra pin on each of the sides to keep it in place, in addition to the typical rear pin locations.

All of this cuz I keep looking at my modified T/A hinge-type hood w/ the oversized scoop and thinking I was crazy to go so tall w/ it realcrazy

Here is our old MAS hood, modified a little to make it taller from about 20 years ago. It did flap about a bit at speed. By the time it had evolved along with engines the scoop was over 8" high and weighed a ton. It has been almost 146 mph but we now have a flat hood, with a hole and a scoop on the T/R. up

That MAS hood will need a hold down every 6-8" to keep it from bowing up.
When I first put mine on, I had one pin at each corner. The first drive at 50 mph I thought it was coming off the car.
Wasn't long after I put the bolt on cowl hood on.

Looking at Tig's hood...the gap on the sides between the pins, the hood would be 3-4" above the fender at 120+ mph on my car.

Pretty sure the 'glass guy who worked on it put strengthening ribs at the sides and front. It ended up real heavy, I could barely take it off the car on my own. I still have it, I should weigh it one day.

I'm having visions of this hood disintegrating like a B-17 getting shot up over WWII Germany as I'm driving to the track

My Shaker hood is a MAS and my Bubble, base and parts are all Stinger Fiberglass that I cut up, lengthened the hood opening, lengthened thr bubble and base to match the hood opening & raised the height of the bubble & opened up the openings.

Seller still insists it came from Mopar

Regardless, I told him I was concerned it wouldn't hold up to street use and that I'll keep looking

I had a "race-weight" (translation: flimsy) MAS "six-pack" pin-on hood on my Duster drag car for over 30 years - it's still on it.
It didn't have flanges around its perimeter like the hood pictured, so 1/2" aluminum angle attached to inner fender flanges was needed to keep it from sagging.
Also needed a center front pin, so 5 pins total, but with those mods it looked & worked well.
It did have some fine cracks in the paint near the back corners from the PO bending those areas (near as I can tell), but you had to look closely to see them.
That hood (attached to the car of course) has been cross-country on my open trailer, and 130 MPH and is still holding up.

Does he know about what year? I have some old DC catalogs from the 70/80's I can make them "Reading Material" and do some research for you ...
