Cool, combo, not worth getting involved with at 36k. I saw this last night and the flipper got lit up in the comments, looks like he is upset about that.

Yeah, saw that on my Hemmings feed this morning...it was intriguing, until I got to the rust...
It's a shame that some folks just drove the cars into the ground.

I am sorry I actually just started another thread regarding this car and then saw this one. It is a real neat car and super close to me but in my opinion it is way overpriced. From the comments here and on Hemmings it seems that most concur. I'd love to have it, but not at $36.5K.

Try this link. It is still on Hemmings, but that other link wouldn't work for me either. Most of the comments have been "flagged for review" though. There is a nice 12 minute video of the car on there too.

Asking prices are up, I’ve not seen confirmation on sales matching that. Looking at completed eBay auctions for instance shows those asks aren’t being met, cars have to be rerun several times and still not sold.

The majority of what's for sale are cars with issues - for the best ones, it seems to me one has to step up.
3-4 years ago I decided to get another RR, but I wanted a low-mile, original, 383 4-speed car with no damage or problems.
Not a perfectly restored car, but basically a time capsule.
Took me about a year of daily searching, but a great one basically fell into my lap courtesy of a discussion with a Moparts member.
I bought it for a pretty stout but fair price, all things considered, from the gentleman who owned it.
Judging by what I've seen on the market - sold & unsold - it's worth a fair amount more now than what I paid.
Some of that is inflation, some a dwindling supply, but it's not for sale anyway.

To quantify my valuation method, this one's my 14th RR as best I can recall, and I've restored several of those between the '80s and 2020.
I can confirm that it ain't the '80s anymore !

OK, here's a couple. I did change wheels & tires, but otherwise, it's the way they were.
My compliments to the prior owners who took such good care of the car.
Also, a up to Hotairbaloonpilot & Bigdad, who provided info & history on it.
I love this car. (Sorry if this is a hijack)

If you’re going to post stuff like that, hijack away!

I almost had a survivor rr like that bought, but Covid messed that one up for me. Love those things.

Thanks, it's led a very pampered life. His buddy is the restored '68 - ironically their SPDs are exactly a year apart - but I don't drive it much.
Too much work & $ in its paint...
