Just got the latest issue. Haven’t looked through it yet. Hopefully it will have some interesting info.

not sure what "interesting" may mean.
i have the original year of 1948, [the reprints of course] and have been an avid reader every year since before 1959, with being a constant subscriber since sometime in the mid 60's.
it's not the same magazine, and although being in the "old bastage" category gives me a different perspective, i still enjoy exploring things i may have no interest in. i really enjoy seeing the new things being created, as well as observing construction technique's i can "steal" for use in future endeavor's.
as my current subscription was extended by a bunch of years when all the other peterson titles i subscribed to were extinguished, i will have to wait until towards the end of it to see if it's worth the asking price at that time, providing it's still in print, as i'm not the kind of guy who want's to sit in front of a screen for hours to read an on-line "-zine".

The whole latest issue is Pro Touring garbage. Took me about 10 minutes to thumb through it and toss it onto the end table! down

I remember specifically around the year 2000 the Sunday morning cable TV shows featuring muscle cars with large diameter wheels and thus- low profile tires. Making a muscle car a Pro Touring car is like taking a prime John Wayne or Steve McQueen and giving them a man bun, nose eye and lip piercings and tattoos all over their body. Mixing the worst of today with the best of the past.

Seems to me that HR's current owners have been slowly killing it off for some time: whether in print, online, or streaming, most of the content seems to be from their past.
They crow on bout how important they are, yet it seems like little effort is made to remain relevant or interesting.
I have to agree, the ProStreet poser issue was lame...but I never cared much for that deal, outside of respect for the fab work on some of those cars.

All of the magazines are headed to the trash heap. Motor Trend is a total joke. I have asked them multiple times to just terminate my subscription to save me the hassle of tossing it in the garbage. Once they selected Governor Newscum as one of their top 40 men that made a mark in the Automotive world (2023) and Shawn Fain as THE Man of the Year (2024) I have had enough. Two clowns that did their best to destroy the automotive industry and yet they give them a place on their "Man of the Year" listing. They belong in Commifornia.

Never, ever argue with an IDIOT. They will drag you to their level and then beat you with their years of experience

I do believe they are located there wink
I'm not really aware of any magazine worth subbing to anymore. Hemmings has held on a bit but they generally appeal to a different niche. Just as well as I really don't have time to read the trash. 10 or more years ago I was subbing to several to stay up on new products etc. I would read them during lunch, I began noticing the same exact articles in different publications several months apart whistling

I’ve moved on to the three Hemmings titles, one I just started call Collectible Automobile, and the AACA magazine. Still take MCG. Hot Rod comes, but I’ll let it run out I think. I’ve had that subscription since the 80s.

I want my fair share

I haven't subscribed to a print magazine for around 20 years.

Was given a pretty well organized collection of them from late 60s to early 70s,
and I have so many car magazines that the chances of me ever reading all of them is pretty slim.

Kind of a rainy day thing, anymore.

I can barely keep up with forums and social media let alone
read an entire magazine.
