Used motor oil thinned with diesel fuel? If you're looking for something "cleaner," tung oil.
EDIT: ......one more thing. Regardless of what you decide to use, wait a week to treat the deck after pressure washing it.

As far as being slippery, I know we used the old motor oil/diesel fuel on steps (like a staircase) going into a deer stand several years ago and they don't get slick in the rain. As far as lying on the boards I couldn't say. They are dry to the touch and almost look painted. Tim
