This weekend (Memorial Day weekend) is the Somernites cruise MoPars in May event in Somerset, KY. Great monthly cruise with a different marque featured each month. Friday night is the cruise at the Mall, Saturday morning the local dealership has a great show starting around 9 with the main event in town starting at Noon. Special MoPar parking at the end of town, usually around 1000-1500 cars per month and around 300-400 MoPars (maybe more) in attendance. Then a cruise on 127 after the main event.

If your back in the state and the weather holds, it’s a great show. Saturday looks decent right now.

here.
I'm watching the weather to see if I go or not. Every time the car gets rained on, more clearcoat washes off of the hood. I will be at the Cars and Coffee event at the National Corvette Museum that morning if it's on the way.

BG is definitely on the way to Somerset if you’re coming from where I think you are…lol

Thanks. I built it in 2013 and have put 68000 miles on since. It’s my daily driver.

Yes it was a good day. Weather was good considering it rained most of the way from home in TN to the KY line.

I always meet interesting people at car cruises. I was walking through the show area and see a 68 Cornet setting off away from the main show area. So I walk over to check it out. I’m behind it and can see it’s a nice original surviver, ruff but nice. There’s two old guys standing it from looking at the engine. I walk up to the from to take a look and see a Chevy LS setting there. The one guy says, this is really nice what do you think. I say they ruined a nice car by putting that chevy LS in it. They both look at me like I’m nuts and tell me no that’s a Hellcat engine. I say no it’s an LS and walk away. Yep they’re out there.
