Back in 2015, I ordered two sets of reproduction sidemarker lenses for my 69 Dart from Year One. I only needed one set but ordered two by mistake. Anyway, I finally got to the point of installing them on the car today. I installed the fronts first, no issues. Then I move on to the rears only to find out the plastic tabs on the back that insert into the holes in the lens housing are spread apart wider than the holes in the housings. The tabs on the lenses are 2 1/2" wide on center and the holes in the housings are 1 3/4" So, I just went on Year One's website and plugged in the part number on the package (BN812). Now I see they have a footnote on the description that says "Some 1969 models use a short (4 inch) rear reflector, these are 4.125 inches long. The front reflectors have no issue. We currently do not offer the shorter rear reflector." [censored]? Not only is there a 1/8" difference in length but the mounting tabs are 3/4" difference. If they are going to go through the trouble of reproducing the lenses you'd think they would do it right. Not only am I out the money I spent for the set I needed but it's double since I bought two sets. So now, I have to buy another set of rears. Does anyone know of a source that has the correct fitting lenses? Also, does anyone know of an application the lenses I can't use will fit on?

10 years ago they may have had both. But no matter, it's been 10 years since you bought them, no warranty.

I don't know who or if the correct size is available. But, in the past I've taken oversized lenses, cut them down and glued them in.

Sell the too long sets and use the money to buy a short set? Ebay, Mancini Racing, Classic Industries, ect. to locate a different set

I would want to know if the current sets actually fits the correct housing so as to not be that guy who is selling a problem child onto someone else. There are poor fitting plastic parts out there in circulation that is a fact, unfortunately. As an example I have a repo plastic washer bottle that won't fit anything really unless someone wanted to drill more holes in their car. I just bought another one from Mancini later on the holes are an exact match to the oem part so there are still good parts out there.

Excellent Dante ! The short lens was used in another application , I think it was a C body wagon ??? I think I have one NOS lense bezel in my stash , I was crazy some years ago and buying every NOS bezel set I could get my hands on.

Yep, not a new issue, this has been going on for decades. Good that someone finally has a solution! Many people bought what was available and found it he rears didn't work...
