The hood Ron initially ran on the car, was the stock flat Road Runner hood, and is legal for SS, but the 6 Pack isn't legal, unless he runs a 440-6 Combo, or runs the car in GT.

The car was built by FJ Smith. Extremely nice car. It is a legal Super Stock Chassis, but it runs a 600inch aluminum Hemi, and the hood isn't legal. [/quotTh

You are right Fred built the Chassis was thinking about another car, Ron bought the body off the owner of the 5 &50 Belvedere. The Chassie I believe was certified by Steve the NHRA Chassie guy for 7.50 and has a Funny Car type cage. There are a few hoods used on this car and the Hemi should have the inline intake on it.

Harry had a bad kidney stone a few weeks ago that put him out of commission for a while. But he's back on the mend now and feeling better.

That is too bad about Harry he loves his racing. He had a bad health scare last year. When one Hemi Car can not make it, that puts a dent in the number of cars racing at that level. Thanks for information me about Harry I am sure all the other local Hemi Racers know via the Race this Weekend.

I've seen a few of those cars in the states. I'd trade my 64 for that orange Road Runner in a heartbeat.

That Orange Road Runner of Ron and Debbie Gallagher was told that his car won the Wally this weekend. I feel 10 minute road trip coming on to take a look at that.

No it was a stock / super stock, jet car, wheel stander long weekend type deal, with live music Saturday night. I thought it was a pretty good deal @ $110 from Fri to Mon tickets + camping. If I did it again I would not park in the middle of the party and would opt to park over by the racers where it was far more quiet and civilized.

Congrats to the orange runner - by 11am I was looking up Harvest hosts in the area, and just 5 miles away was this bliss, right on the grand river - a sweet corn farm in Caledonia. Oh it was nice.

I have a couple of acres on a lake and that is for everyone else to go to so I can do my car stuff. I miss the days at the track and love the noise of a Big Cube Hemi Rowing the Gears. Might have to start doing that again.

If you want to spectate it looks like Grand Bend has far more big events than Cayuga this summer

https://grandbendmotorplex.com/dragway-schedule/

I was at a race there last summer and the class champ was a very stout 70 Bee "Rodney Gomes" 572 BBM

If I go to Grand Bend they have to be running the Hemi Shoot Out, same thing for St.Thomas but usually they run 1/8th miles at St.Thomas because of the 150MPH speed,
