I have not attended the Dream Cruise since 16 or 17 and I have been getting the itch to go again. I am trying to get a couple of friends who have never been, to go, using the old "We a'int gonna live forever" argument. I used to drive my car up from Houston to participate (69 Sattelite,493-6BBL.) but have retired to Idaho and am considering trailering the wifes 70 Barracuda with 528 Hemi up, because, face it, towing behind the Ram Cummins will be far more fuel efficient! The last time I came up, a Detroit buddy got me hooked up with the Yellow Bullet crowd that had a big parking lot rented and the price for a spot included catered food and it was great. Since I have been out of touch for a few years, I have no idea what is available as far as a parking spot, events, etc. I assume the group still meets at the Donut Cutter? I always get there by Monday to enjoy cruising before the insanity of Saturday. Any advice as far as getting a good spot so I can show my friends what a real cruise is? Anything to avoid? I see that they were shutting down part of Woodward in Pontiac for Roadkill to have 1/8 mile racing, will that continue this year? Any help appreciated! Lee.

He convinced me to come for the first time, the year before his death. Great guy, they don't make them like that anymore.
