Thanks!

Compression is 12.5 , camshaft is 275@.050 intake 279@.050 exhaust. 113 LSA intake is 109.5 centerline.
A lot of thought went into the camshaft and particularly the intake closing point.
The Victor head is way better than most give it credit for. Any of the 350cc cnc programs will get you right at 385cfm @.800 with the 2.2 valve. For my heads, I am 355cc, 2.2 valve and flow a TON. I stayed with the 2.2 valve on this set because the 2.25 on my first set didnt yield much. I thought it made the port a little too slow.

I may post my flow sheets some time. I would like to get the car on the track and see what kind of power its making. Dynos and the track are 2 different animals.Valve train is atrocious on these heads. This is my second time using them. I recommend milling the rocker stands off and use longer valves. At the end of the day, thats the only way to get them right. Anything else is too compromised..

355 cc?!?! Holy cow I had no idea.....

I just keep slogging along with my old -1s and now guys are making Eddie's that are better lol.

The jury is definitely still out on that yet because there has been 1000HP -1 motors.

Perhaps I missed it... any info re the valve train being used (rockers, pushrods, lifter, etc.) other than it being a Mike Jones cam as spec'd above?

I'm guess the rockers probably don't look like these grin

I finally got the 540 in the Duster. We should be able to get it to the track next week. It has been a very long hustle to get this together. I reworked his frame connectors. I moved the rear shocks to a more vertical position. The vacuum pump mandrel was too long to allow the radiator and fan set up we were using. I had to machine it down to the minimum, move the engine back a half inch, and cut the core support out to move the radiator forward. While fabbing a new core support I found numerous cracks in his inner fenders. I ended up stripping everything under the hood. I got everything welded up and painted. Once we got the engine in, I had to rewire everything under the hood. Lastly, I had to cut the six pack scoop off his hood and glass in a 6" cowl to clear the carb. We moved the battery to the trunk, but decided not to put a fuel cell in this season. He is gonna have to run his oem tank a little longer. We did take the bucket seats out and put in a pair of race seats, but it didn't net much weight savings. With the additional bracing and cage work the car is probably a little heavier than last season. I plan on getting on the scale soon. It will most likely be around 3480 with him in it and a full tank of gas.

I use a PAC spring, manley tool steel retainers, as far as rockers I did not use paired rockers. I used an off the shelf single shaft rocker with a custom made shaft and rocker stands. I set the geometry up so the rocker is perpendicular to the valve stem at 2/3 lift. Pushrods are 7/16 smith brothers. I will give more on the rockers and stands after /if they survive a season.

The things a guy won't do to get SOMEONE ELSE's car together. lol This car does not sound like it's going to be the optimal showcase for the motor YET. FWIW I've had decent luck with cowls on Duster's so that might not hurt any performance. Nice work and thanks for the updates!

Can you share the bearing clearance numbers? and what bearings you used
The parts for my "back-up" motor are Molnar (4.250" crank and 7.100" rods). With the Clevite bearings, it looks a touch tighter than I like. The mains were around 0.0023"- 0.0025" with Clevite MS1277HG
So, I will change something before final machining and assembly.

I have .0028" on the rods, and .0029 on the mains. H series bearings on rods. CB 743HXN. The mains are M series. MS-972m.

Thanks. For mine, using the HXN on both halves of the rods should do the trick. The half/half I mocked up was the left overs from my current motor with a Callies crank (a touch smaller rod journal).
I will check into those main bearings.
