What year transmission are you attempting to rebuild?
Like others have recommended to me, buy the books.
1. Torqueflite A-727 Transmission handbook by Carl Munroe ISBN 1-55788-399-8
2. ATSG Automatic Transmission Service Group A727/904 Chrysler Passenger Cars Techtran Manual (no isbn).
I bought both of these books for wayyyyy less than advertised through amazon and the like.
I got the carl munroe book brand new off
Half.com for like $8.00 but I found another seller that has it for $11.00

I also bought a Transgo TF2 shift reprogramming kit for $53.00 thru that same seller and he gave me a shipping discount.
You might want to locate a factory service manual for the particular valvebody in your transmission also.
I'm in the process of gathering tools/parts/manuals for my own rebuild.
