I believe they said 560hp and 2000lbft of torque with 40% fuel savings. The 4 cyl cummins is just used as a generator, the axle center sections will be electric motors

Kit being prepared for sale, mostly for service trucks (welding, tow truck to charge EV's)

Yes, the unsprung weight will be massive, but I guess in the intended application it isn't an issue.

For something intended to handle, though... I supposed an IRS setup with the center section sprung it'll work, ok.

As a Proud Owner of several reliable 2nd Gen Dodges (V10, V8's, Cummins 12v, 24v's, 2wds, 4wds, autos and 5 speeds) this Buffoon contradicts himself running down Dodges.

All while a POS Blunder Motors is broke down on the hoist behind him.

I seen this video a while back and am greatly interested in the concept. He builds substantial credibility all the way up to the point where he introduces the Project Vehicle. He shoots himself in the foot by running his mouth instead of being a mature, smart Businessman.

Their idea is keeping old trucks on the road and working versus buying new throw away trucks that cost a fortune. That truck? It IS useless and gets hideous fuel mileage for what it is. They were bad in the 90's and laughable now. Watch what they turn it into. This swap IMO makes the mos sense for a tow truck, you can take jobs all day long going around charging up dead EV's. Self filling cash register and you can build it out of some old tow truck

Anything. Did you own one? They get about 8MPG and have 200hp. Thats Harley level "turning gas into noise and nothing else" territory

I had many 360 and 318 magnums all 4wd they made plenty of power and the only time I was ever close to 8mpg was pulling 8,000 plus pounds in an enclosed 26 foot trailer.

8mpg is reported from every Dakota R/T owner, a little street truck. This is a great swap for an attractive, but useless old truck.

13 Second Gens to be exact. I currently have 6, My best is this 367,000 mile '01 360 Off-Road, attached.

And, no, nowhere close to 8 mpg, ever. 17mpg on the highway and 245hp. The 2wd V10 I had did 15mpg hwy.

Give up while you are behind, you won't win a 2nd Gen Ram argument with Me. I've owned enough transmission/front-end/rear-end/transfer-case puking, antifreeze-drinking, and electrical problem gm "trucks" to say (without bias): a 2G Ram is the superior Machine in every category. The Fords of that era are close to the Ram but are miserable Gas Hogs, complicated to repair, and boring as hell to look at and drive.

Hmmmmm, I had an 00 R/T. It averaged 15 driving back and forth to work, 19 on the highway, and 10 pulling the open trailer with my 66 on it at 75mph. It had over 200K when I sold it. Still had the original drivetrain in it. Not exactly my idea of useless.

haha

Useless , as the proud owner of a useless 98 24v 2wd with 211k miles that gets 20mpg consistently on my mixed highway/city commute , I calculate mileage on every fillup. ... I laugh at that .

Watching the 29 questions things I was sad that the axles are 550/5500 rated and the conversion is going to be in the 30-35k range ... I was interested in this when I saw Deboss was doing it to a 2nd gen 2wd since it i recently just imported this 98 2wd from Arkansas up to NH to get out of my 2018 F150 because I'm done with too much technology and I refuse to deal with DEF and the particulate filter BS on the exhaust . Yes I miss the creature comforts of the 2018 but I'm going to add in what I need ... backup camera, bluetooth radio for hands free, and a more comfotrtable heated power seat .

running up my post count some more .

Did you even watch the video ? If you did get to your eye doctor because the truck in the Deboss video is a fullsize 2500 , not a Dakota ...
