1989 Dakota 3.9 2wd. I have a small gas leak on top of my gas tank. I assume it's not the feed line because I don't have any drivability issues, hesitation or stumbling like its starving for fuel. Return line??

Likely a hole in the one of the fuel lines. On top of the tank, wouldn't be a hole in the tank as it would only leak when near full.

I would expect a hole in one or both of the steel fuel lines. I would also replace both fuel lines from the tank to the braded steel hoses at the same time. That black plastic line (Pec?) works pretty well. Depending on the year, some of those lines are under a lot of pressure, hoses and clamps don't work very well.
