Are these hood ornaments made to lean like this or is it bent?

I've seen others that are tilted. I believe they're made that way. Is yours from a '66-'67 C-body?

I believe the hood has a small slope to it, so the ornament needs to be at a slight angle so that it sticks straight up when installed.

That's what I was thinking, those 300 mph speeds are hard on parts.

Yes. Even mounted they lean backwards ever so slightly
