I picked up a 66 383 for the heads and pan. Will that 66 pan fit the 65 K-frame? I had brain fade thinking again but I do know the 66 and up used a different k and engine sits back more but..
Paid $100 for engine but when pulling it down found #8 rod cap was in pan in a weird shape lol needless to say crank-block-piston no good so I’ll use the 413 shortblock now with the 516 heads.

not sure on the pan but i do recall chasing my tail on a noise that appeared after swapping another 440 into my Mom's 65. Finally discovered a small mark inside the oil pan from either a rod, rod bolt or crank throw. whistling mad

Early,1966 to 1969, Street Hemi oil pans will fit but they hang down past the K member, same thing on the early C bodies but they don't come with slosh and acceleration baffles shruggy
I have made my own baffles and added them on hose oil pans a lot of times work scope wrench up

The '62-'65 B-body engine sits 1 5/8" further forward than the '66-later. This makes the front of later pans interfere with the early K-member.

I ran a 66 440 in my 65 for like 30 years with a 66 pan that came on the 440 Never a problem. Now the 440 has a 8 qt Moroso pan that is listed 66 up.Fits great I did take a tiny notch from the K frame for more clearance Didndt have to but just made me feel better Oh yeah driven on the street with the 8 qt for 20 years now and never a problem.
