I have a 79 4x4 truck and I'm giving the 360 2bbl engine a freshening up. I'm reusing the stock cam, but I'm wondering where I should degree the cam to. The specs from the FSM are as follows:

Intake opening: 18° BTC
Intake closing: 54° ABC
Exhaust Opening: 57° BBC
Exhaust Closing: 15° ATC
Valve overlap: 33°
Intake Valve Duration: 252°
Exhaust Valve duration: 252°

So I figured the ICL is 108°, the ECL is 111°, and the LSA is 109.5°.
The truck has 33" tires, 3.21 gear ratio and about 4500lbs, so it could use some extra torque. I should have checked it when I took it apart, as I'm not sure where factory would have put it (probably dot to dot= good enough). I would like to advance the cam more than the 1.5° built into the cam, but not sure how much I should go. The cam is so small, maybe it doesn't matter?
I was thinking installing it at 106°. What do you think?
Thanks for any input!

2 to 4* extra advance is what a lot of people do with most any cam.
Not sure if you will see much gain in this situation 🤔.
However can't see it causing any problems either.
