Creepers and sheets of cardboard. I use giant sheets of cardboard. A buddy has a trucking company and works on his stuff at my garage and since his stuff is so big that it won't fit inside he keeps me stocked up with 4x6 sheets of cardboard left over from the freight he hauls. He uses it to lay under the trucks outside, I used it inside because it's softer than concrete.
Kayse can't keep up at all now. lol

cardboard here for many, many [and many] years. my floor has really rough cement, and creepers never roll worth a hoot. i have a pretty good supply of large cardboard sheets stashed overhead, so when i ruin the current one in use beyond redemption, it gets replaced with a new one. i sure wished i added height on my garage roof when i replaced it all those years ago. a lift would be SO nice now that i'm an old coot.

Another vote for cardboard. Since my 50 year old Crapsman creeper finally broke a wheel I have been using cardboard. It has a couple of advantages for me. I am not as thin as I used to be so the extra couple inches helps. The deceased previous owner of our home manufactured dulcimers and shipped them all over the world. The attic of our garage has bundles of brand new shipping boxes. They have never been folded so there must be about 50 in each bundle. Endless supply of big doubled cardboard for me. At my age I'll probably never buy another creeper a lift would be SO nice now that i'm an old coot. Yep, that would be

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.

At home I use cardboard, but my floor is epoxied too, we used to have a garage with indoor/outdoor carpet and it was nice. At the track we have a Pitmat, they are very nice but are also quite heavy, and not cheap.
