I've been married well over 30 yrs. She takes good care of me but I certainly don't need her to cook for me. I love to cook! She loves to cook also(and is very good at it).....I just don't NEED her to make all my meals. I can take care of myself!(so can she)

My better half went shopping with her Mom and sister today and then they went out to dinner.

I do most of the cooking around here so making my own dinner is nothing.

I didn't realize until late today that today it is actually international womens day. They need a better press agent, nobody knew about it.

I sent that picture to my wife and sister. They thought it was hilarious.

I do admire you guys who can cook, I wish I had that skill. I can cook but I am a messy cook and it is mediocre. I'm not a good cook by any means. Kudos to those who are.

My wife likes to cook so she does most of it but I never ask her to. If she does, I am grateful but she works a full time job and I won't ask her to cook or clean on top of that.

I put mine to work today cleaning the refrigerator. Married 39 years in June, so I think its time I take here out to dinner for "her" day. Now where are those coupons for a cheap dinner

Dishes are piling up

My wife informed me when we got married that she did not plan on cooking on week ends, which start on Friday for her. That was about the time I told her I was always going to be involved with cars, which was everyday. That mutual understanding still stands, I figured it was a great exchange. At that time, inexpensive food was about all we could afford, so limiting the expense of dining out on weekends was also a mutual understanding, if we wanted to eat most weekends, expensive meals were probably not on the option list.

She is not a great cook, and I'm worse, we both know each others limits after 47 years. Its a good thing there are several local "family" restaurants that are both affordable and have good food. We both did the dishes (now the dish washing machine does most of them).

I do all the cooking around here. I spent a lot of time alone as a child (sometimes for weeks) so with no money or even able to drive, if I wanted to eat I had to learn how to cook. The wife on the other hand says that growing up if it didn't come out of a can, they didn't eat. I have my recipes, I try new things and experiment some to keep it interesting. We don't eat out, no where to go anyway, nor do I buy frozen meals or prepared entrees, they all taste like crap to me.

41 years of wedded bliss here. Wifey is a great cook, and likes to bake also. When I met her I weighed 125 lbs, 6 months later I was 160, haven't stopped growing yet! I do all the dishes unless I am on the road, we do have a roll around dishwasher also, been working fine for the last 36 years! We try to eat out once a month, she has to know when I am home to plan dinners or she gets pissed...LOL

If I have a can opener and a microwave I'm good to go.

coming up on 43 years here. I told her what goes on the house is her business and in the garage mine. I do lawn care, vehicle and house etc. maintenance. We help each other when needed and most of all communicate. i doubt she even knew about some BS day a frustrated single dyke dreamt up 🎯, I didn't 🤣
