This is the car that will sell, forget the EV crap. 550hp and will make 1000hp with boost and a tune. AWD standard so it'll launch like a GT-R - but also be a fully useable car in most weather, hatch back for utility

Well, maybe not UGLY, but the design has no flare.... it doesn't excite me. Just like the Challenger.... slab sided, fill the box to the corners.... boring. It's "retro" without being retro but at the same time has none of the panache that a retro design could have. If you hadn't told me this car was named the Charger.... I'd have never guessed. Maybe they could have named it "Box" and offered a Logan's Run Edition.... I dunno.
I won't be getting one. Doubt I could afford one anyhow.

If you want "utility" buy a SUV just like all the other 4 door cars on the road! This should be a car with a trunk not a SUV. Problem with auto industry today is they are trying to put everything into one vehicle instead of making different ones like they did back in the day. Now vehicles all look the same, UGLY! Considering all the other garbage out there it may have a chance but they need to do a better job on the styling.

Not real utility but with the hatch and all the room back there (the car is pretty big, bigger than current charger) you could probably even camp out of it. Its probably all the utility anyone really needs. I have a 4runner, it has never been offroad and the 4x4 is rarely needed. I like it but its really a waste. I could swap it for the 550hp Charger and not miss a beat.

it would if it wasn't so horrible looking. and i just don't see the "mopar" guy liking or buying that thing.. tuner guys maybe, if it actually had any style to it.
It's better to keep your mouth shut and give the impression that you're stupid than to open it and remove all doubt.
I hope that goofy mismatched colors on the panels becomes a 'thing'. It will certainly make rebuilding vehicles easier.
All the kids are doing it these days. Apparently you aren't supposed to paint carbon fiber?!

Ecoboosts are failing before 100,000 miles, so it will be worth watching how 183 cid plus 26 lbs of boost handle heavy vehicle weights, towing and terrain. At least this thing has 7 main bearings and a closed deck block.

We did all of the R&D and testing with Chrysler or whatever they are called this week..... The Hurricanes are stout little engines and were good to about 660 h.p playing with boost and then started breaking con rods. We had some Carrillo rods made and they lived past 750 h.p. all day long with durability testing.

Should be okay in 4500 lb car. Now in a 5500 lb truck towing 10000 lb trailer, that could spell trouble.

There's going to be A LOT of catastrophic damage until that becomes widely known! Only allowing a 100hp bump on a "high output" 550hp twin turbo inline 6 is a little sad to be honest

Stellantis debuted these engines in 7000 lb Grand Wagoneers. This will be quite the torture test, and seeing what is revealed will be fun to follow.
