Looking at a more portable generator to haul to the track. Tired of loading/unloading my 130# Generac by myself. Looking at harbor Freight 1400w and 2000w units. About all I do is run the charger on the car between rounds and maybe a droplight. Would it be worth the extra money for the 2000w? Thanks!

I'm mainly worried about just running a charger at the track. I have my 3500w Generac for home, just tired of loading/unloading it by myself when it's time to go racing.

I have two larger Hondas and love them. Never an issue one is years old now and never given me any issues. I would not be afraid to buy a used Honda personally if you cant swing new.

The Hondas are definitely the best but they are pricey.. I had an old Coleman unit in my trailer for years but it was noisy. ( I still have it ) A few years ago I bought a Predator / Harbor Freight 1400 it works great and is fairly quiet . I runs my battery charger , small compressor , electric impact , lights in the trailer etc. and its pretty light and doesn't take up a lot of room in the trailer.

Harbor Freight 1400w sounds like you. No on the 2000w.

My home gen is Honda powered. Way better than the B&S one I had before twice the power and uses less gas. Honda small gas engines rule. I have used the small Honda ones on job sites without problems

A little history on the now discontinued 2000 watt Honda generator. I’ve had mine probably 24 years or so and I runs every weekend I race and sometimes for days at my house. I bought a 3400 watt champion inverter generator just in case I need a little more power for the motorhome. I can’t remember the last time I ran my Onan generator in the motorhome. And yes the Preditor inverter generators are very nice too. https://www.elephantenergy.org/honda-eu2000i-review/
