Just saw an ad for 4 brand new Cragars with caps for $207.49. Also had new G78-14s for $38 each plus FET. It was from a Western Auto catalog from Spring/Summer 1970. Great estate sale score! I'll try to post some pics. EDIT: I corrected the pics on my tablet, not sure why the forum flipped them.

Perhaps (like me) you were sporting a slightly different "ride" in the early '70s? Not to worry, Western Auto had you covered...

I have several of the Mighty Tonka dump trucks. I also currently have 2 different versions of the car carrier...neither has the Mustang or Ranchero and I paid significantly more than $8.

Western Auto and Grand Auto. Had lots of good deals at the time. Let’s not forget JC Pennys.

I got my small bolt Cragar's and air shocks at JC Penney in 1979, can't remember what I paid...

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics inflation calculator, $200 in 1970 is over $1600 in today’s money. Don't go ruining the argument for everyone who wants to reminisce about how "low"prices used to be while ignoring that they also made $2.35 an hour during that same time frame.

Western Auto was a great store for a kid back then, lots of cool stuff to look at. .. Air conditioners to auto parts Farm equipment to freezers. Paint to pool tables. .Ranges to rifles, Well pumps to wrist watches...this catalog has it all. If anybody wants info/pics of something specific just let me know. I have Fall/Winter 1969/1970 and Spring/Summer 1970. Also have a 1965 supplemental catalog.

Scored this also. Appears to be a return due to a short. Also, if anybody happens to have some small "Wizard" branded automobilia I may be interested.
