It was about 675hp…….with the air filters on, and thru the ex manifolds…….crank driven water pump too.

It was about 675hp…….with the air filters on, and thru the ex manifolds…….crank driven water pump too. That is pretty good power for that combination. My original 505 with Indy EZ heads and a cross ram only made 625 hp and that was with dyno headers. That engine had a Mopar Performance reproduction cross ram on it and it was a real cork. That same engine picked up 80 hp switching to an Indy box ram (peak of 705 hp), and it picked up 115 hp (peak of 740) with an Indy 440-3 intake and a Dominator. The same engine ended up making over 800 hp after switching to a roller cam. After that experience I stopped fooling around with cross rams and decided to stick with a modern single four barrel intake. http://www.moparts.org/Tech/Archive/bb/80inches.html

That looks even worse than I remember it.
Believe it or not, we actually did a cam change on the dyno………without pulling the intake. About 1/2 way thru the job we’d realized we should have pulled the manifold. But we finally got it back together.

They have been milled heads are 82cc. I know - I can tell, the valve covers have the manifold trapped.
