I'm sure the Ram has issues as well, they may not be publicizing or admitting to them. Google 2024 ram problems wink beer

i agree 100%
i will add cars to this statement also.

Friday i finished repairing a 2024 mazda CX-30. car was in a minor fender bender. needed a front bumper, rt headlight.. headlight was on back order for 2 months. finally got headlight, installed everything car was good to go. proper repairer should check the lights to be sure everything is fine. all the lights worked. the LEFT turn signal plinked fast like it had a poor ground, it also tripped check light on dash. it was hit on other side whey would there a poor ground. double check grounds everything seems fine. scanned car and had NO TROUBLE codes. i happened to look at the car voltage reading, it was 11.9 volts. a bit low but nothing serious car started just fine. put battery charger on it for 15 min. everything works just fine now.
so 11.9 volts on a 12 volt car is low enough to cause computerized lighting problems now? give me a flipping break.

Ahh, just wait a while, and the electronic gremlins will come out to play.
While I got excellent service out of two mid-'90s rigs - combined, about 560,000 miles - one essentially died by electronics, and the other started to develop minor hiccups here & there.
Neither had any factory support, and modules & such were a PITA to obtain.
Manufacturers are only interested in selling us The Next Big Thing, and not having them operate forever...lest they put themselves out of business, I suppose.

I absolutely hate all the "assistance" crap. A few conveniences, okay, but it's out of control and the things that require removing the entire dash scare me. And a few safety things like ABS are okay, but when one goes bad good luck on some stuff. Out of control.

Facts are stubborn things.

I hate to say it, but Stellantis has taken the most durable, reliable, legendary powertrain known to man (Cummins) and basically drove it into the ground. The 2019 and newer Cummins has a hydraulic cam, lighter crank, as well as numerous other weight saving mods among other changes. Lifters are failing, cranks are breaking, the pushrods wear out and the CP4 injector pump they went to is trash filling up the fuel system with metal, and they're recalling them to have them all replaced. We can't keep up with all of the trucks needing major engine work at very low mileage. It's a crying shame. The new gen 3.6 with the egr cooler setup warps heads and blocks when the thermostat sticks and it overheats once or twice. The wiring and connectors on the newer trucks have been cheapened, some of the pins in the connectors are like little hairs and the connector seals seal so badly they corrode at a very low mileage. I don't know what is going on at assembly, but the amount of stupid assembly errors have skyrocketed. It used to be unusual and now it seems to be the norm. Crazy times.

It's sad to see this on all vehicles. As long as the race to increase MPG continues, auto makers will continue to do everything to lighten vehicles. You're right; so much cheap plastic crap and less durability in the power trains.

Facts are stubborn things.

Oh joy! I just leased a 2024 Ram 1500 with the 3.6 EcoTorque.

Ford has huge issues with that 10 speed trans. Most dealerships are overhauling them left and right. Let's not forget the cam fazer issues on the eco boost
