Don’t think i’ve ever seen bezels like these on a 68 before. Or is that some
kind of headlight mounted in the bezel?

I couldn't zoom up on the ad, looks like it is some kind of headlight in a bucket I have never seen before!

headlights look like reversed hubcaps ? Nice catch. Like a 70 Dodge full disk that came with A/B/E bodies. The challenger ones had an insert that said “challenger”
