Yep, familiar....the hemi ram crowd has had them for somewhere close to 20 years.

I like the way they look, but don't know if they function any better than the other cai's out there, enough to compensate for the added complexity.

Quick evaluation: not worth it.

The subject of “Ram Air” engine intake design can take up many hours of free time.

Sadly, the area fully deserves a warning about “sucker bait.”

Ram air intakes and exhaust systems of tubular headers and mufflers have way more connections than one might first guess.

Hypersonic and Rotary Detonation Engine are currently “hot topics”
and involve the same knowledge as a sucker bait ram air intake made cheaply and sold at high markup.

Would it not at the least lean towards cooler intake air?

Reality check, that half the population is smarter then 50% of the people and it's a constantly contested fact.

Possibly a bit, but at the entry price I'd say the money could likely be spent elsewhere and be more beneficial. Doubt one would even notice the difference excet for the JO selling them twocents beer

I am using this setup for a hood sealed cold air intake... https://moparconnectionmagazine.com...ld-your-own-air-grabber-with-kn-filters/

I think I have under 275 in the setup, using a Summit discount. I bought the "seal" on Amazon, but you only need about 5' (compared to the link in the article).
Summit items: K&N X-Stream Airflow Top Plates 66-1401, Allstar Performance Aluminum Air Cleaners ALL25923, Allstar Performance Universal Plastic Air Pans ALL26104
