I think sales were good because everyone heard of the demise of the Hemi and bought high power / high dollar cars. Without a good item to sell next year, besides the trucks and Jeeps, I am not sure that the sales will be so spectacular. I personally don't see a good item for sale next year that the American public will want. That is the problem with a foreign country trying to market to Americans. They think Americans want the stuff Europeans buy. I don't think most Europeans want the stuff they sell over there but that is all they sell so they are stuck with it,

Recent article online says 470 days supply of chargers and challengers and dealers don't want to discount much because nothing is available to back fill once they all get sold. But the Hemi cash cow was great while it lasted.

I liked the Journey I had as a rental several years back and would have gotten one if that's the kind if vehicle I wanted (we mainly have cars and full size SUVs in our driveway). But I agree. It's OK to push some foreign type cars because there is a market but they need to stay hands off for stuff truly designed to sell here.

Its very small for the market sector. I looked at one. Interior wise, its about as small as my DD Pontiac Vibe.
Never, ever argue with an IDIOT. They will drag you to their level and then beat you with their years of experience

I think after 40 years of “nothing but Mopar” I’m officially done.
They offer nothing of interest to wifey & I for our next daily driver, so we are for the first time looking elsewhere.
And the lack of a V8 Ram means we will be doing something different for our business shop truck next year as well….

At least for half tons anyway. My new brand C work truck has a turbo 4 and it gets along as well as the 6.0 the 3/4 ton had before it. Only thing I dislike, well specific to the 4, is the turbo whine, makes it sound like an 18 wheeler. This ain't my first turbo motor, but it is the first to be noisy like that.

Actually, GM has developed a new small block V8 specifically for light trucks because they understand the need for cargo/towing capacity. https://www.hagerty.com/media/opinion/gms-new-v-8-workhorses-are-vital-to-the-ev-transformation/I don’t want the high operational costs associated with turbos eating away our bottom line.

A fairly useless article. No mention of what they might be going into. Such as 3/4 tons and larger perhaps? Which would match my claim. Not too much serious towing being done by half tons, mostly they are show poodles.

https://www.arcamax.com/business/businessnews/s-3124799sample quote "My only option is to go head-on and that's what we are doing," he said, pointing to the Citroën ë-C3, a small EV hatchback produced in Slovakia for Europe from one of Stellantis' French brands. The model starts at about $21,600 (19,990 euro). Stellantis will seek to achieve a $25,000 EV vehicle in the U.S. market, though Tavares didn't provide a timeline for that. It's been made more challenging because Americans prefer larger vehicles that would require a larger battery pack, the most expensive part of an EV, for desirable ranges. He said there will have to be changes in supply chains, including using more suppliers in low-cost countries. The United States isn't a low-cost country. end quote
