That was not a NHRA official sanctioned event so that "record" will not be accepted by NHRA more than likely shruggy
Maybe he had a bigger blower or short block than NHRA accepts in for its racing National events confused

Mr.Cab Racing and winning with Mopars since 1964. (Old F--t, Huh)

I wonder if the NHRA will change up there ideas for the coming season after this last weekend? Non NHRA event, packed house, way more social media coverage than normal etc. This put fuel cars in front of a crowd that isn't normally an NHRA audience, hopefully they took some notes. I know Gainesville doesn't have trouble selling tickets but I bet this event helps insure a sellout.

I know how fast fuel cars are but they ran the Cleetus Mcfarland "Ruby" corvette against Clay Millican and it is a good reminder just how damn fast they are.

This video should start where the run is.

That is fast. Faster now then when they shortened it to 1000'. What will NHRA to do next, shortened it to 1/8?

So what helped there, cool temps, sea level, tail wind, etc?

Reality check, that half the population is smarter then 50% of the people and it's a constantly contested fact.

Over 3 MPH faster than what Grubnic tuned Brittany's TF car to run in 2022.
I wonder what they found or developed, or if that was the absolute ideal clutch setup.
Maybe DA or track prep helped ?
That's flat haulin' butt in 1,000 feet.

No, Flo Racing. As I understand it the Fuel Coverage was good but Stock and Super Stock coverage was promised but a lot of it was missed. POed a bunch of folks who payd the near $40 a one month subscription (the minimum) to see the race.

The fuel cars have a type of rev limiter that pulls back timing. If they do anything they could just make those more aggressive.

My guess, and I am often wrong, is that they will not do anything unless the speeds really get up there for everyone.

Tasca could make changes to make the car quicker, that could slow it down. It has to do with the interaction with the previously mentioned rev limiter.

All really over my head.

The thought occurred to me that if there wasn't strict enforcement of NHRA rules on equipment, maybe the lay-down headers were dug out of storage ?
Or, the 500" limit wasn't unanimously in place ? Or the rev limit moved up ?
That's a pretty big jump in MPH.

If the car is really on a pass it might loft pass the rev limit and continue to accelerate some before the rev limit pulls it back.
