I'll be there, table 250...

Anybody buy anything cool at the swap this year? The most interesting thing I saw for sale was an NOS VIN plate with no numbers stamped on it, but had the CHRYSLER CORPORATION logo screened on the black surface, for $450! I like going to the swap meet to see all the Johnny Cash lunchbox items for sale there. How many NOS emblems were on the tables? I lost count! Plus all the pins, medals, ash trays, and anything that could possibly get a Chrysler logo on it that was given to the automotive workers! It is worth going just to see the stuff even if you are not a buyer...

I bought some parts for my 70' Charger, bought parts for my 70' Roached Runner and also bought parts for my 70' Challenger. Any one know who the person was that had the 70 Charger grille in the Golling Roseville Parts section? I forgot to go back to look at it more closely.
Most people don't negotiate back and forth on prices anymore. Usually, hard to get a good deal. Have to pay their asking prices in most cases.
How about the Hemi intake/Rocker cover and sixpack set up guys that have been hauling that stuff around since the 80's. Time to maybe lower your prices fellas.....

Left the house at 6:00 am, and was in line in the hall when the doors opened. Talked to Mike Slay, the Dodge truck parts guy from Ohio, about center caps for my Ramcharger. Wh agreed that they're hard/impossible to find without the screw bosses cracked or gone. Four rows over, saw 2 of them sitting on a table. Picked up the first one and it was PERFECT, looked almost unused. searched for a price and saw nothing. Asked the gentleman sitting there and he said maybe it's on the other one, they're selling as a pair. Second one had all 3 screw bosses broken off and a price I thought was 60.00. Figured $50 for the perfect one and $10 for the almost useless one was probably reasonable. Looked again and the price was $6.00. Happily paid him what he was asking, and they even gave me a bag! Also picked up a '67 Dodge car service manual with the cover gone. Out of there, brunch at National Coney Island on Grosbek, hit the Costco on Gratiot for gas, and was home by 1:00 pm.
More tables with vendors than in the last few years when they were 40% empty. As Rhino said, always tons of promo stuff worker giveaways , and interesting kitsch...

All I got was an Autometer sport comp mechanical 2&5/8 oil temp gauge, and a few of the aftermarket pentastar shaped keys for spares.
For a 5 dollar gauge I couldn't resist, and eventually changing to a Siamese block on the street I thought it might be a good idea to keep an eye on that for awhile to see what's going on. Tested in boiling water/it's working.
My bros scored better than I did, parts wise.
