I've got a pretty nice condition 69 Dodge service manual but it has separated at the binding in a couple places so it's in three sections now. Just curious if anyone here has had this happen and tried rebinding it? If so, how did you do it? I really don't want to have to tape it back together if I can help it.

I have a couple old FSMs that I've put clear packing tape on the spine to help hold them together.

I used to work as a school librarian. Our library had a company that would rebind old books but the spine never looked original after that.

Maybe the local library would know who can do it?

That's what I had to do to my old service manuals too.

I was going to suggest this very same thing!

I found it easier to work with an unbound one (separate pages) than bound so left one of mine as it is.

If it's really bad it would be easiest to 3 hole punch it and put it in a binder if it saves pages going missing.
I have a cerlox binding machine but if it comes down to it I'd prefer to be able to easily remove pages.

It's probably cheaper to buy another manual then paying to have it re bound.

There are numerous websites and videos covering this. I'd just review them and choose one that you feel does what you want.
