I was very sorry to hear this. It's absolutely amazing he's made it this long. He's one of my very favorite performers....EVER. Since I was a kid, Ozzy and Black Sabbath have always been there. Much to my parent's chagrin. But I have always loved his music. Always. Fred Turner of Bachman Turner Overdrive was forced to retire a couple of years ago, too. He was another of my favorites. Time marches on. And is not kind to any of us. frown

'Ozzy Osbourne, fronted by his wife and manager Sharon, plans to bid a final farewell to fans with two special shows in his birthplace, Birmingham.

This move comes after Ozzy’s announcement of not touring again due to health issues, including Parkinson’s disease and a severe fall. Despite these challenges, Ozzy’s voice remains in top shape, thanks to ongoing vocal training.

The iconic singer, known for his over five-decade-long career and hits with BLACK SABBATH and as a solo artist, aims to express his gratitude to his dedicated fans through these performances. While Ozzy has faced setbacks, including surgery and canceled tours, he’s determined to perform again, emphasizing a heartfelt goodbye to his supporters

I think the only way we will know he is done performing is when they put him in the ground or incinerator work shruggy
I liked watching the Osborne family T.V. series up
I'm not a fan of heavy metal, too old for it I be bow grin
I can remember when Elvis was getting popular along with Jerry Lee Lewis, The Everly Brothers, Patty Page, Tennessee Ernie Ford, Johnie Cash and to many others to list.

laugh2 Just like my parents 50 years ago; you dis someone's choice in music simply because you don't like it or understand it. Which just makes Ozzy and his music even cooler!

Thank you for your critique.

Love Ozzy, love Sabbath. That said, this is long past due.

The last Ozzy song I heard on the radio that was considered a new release, was 4 years ago. Yes, lots of strange auto tune. That song had the lyrics " I will make you defecate" in it, I thought that was the most hilarious thing.

Yes, Ozzy is an awesome showman. One of the best ever. He really hasn't been able to sing well for about 12-15 years. Can still belt out "I love you all!"

Like many of the money grab tours going on from bands/artist of that era. The "tracks" for everything that are played while the "musicians" are singing/performing. Embarrassing.

Not sure I would want to see him live , ,,OR not

Saw Steve Miller several years ago. and it was not good

But I think I would chance it with Ozzy

Black Sabbath (minus Bill Ward) played their last ever show in Birmingham England as well... just a few years ago.
I have always been a Sabbath/Ozzy fan! Favorite from the group is War Pigs..
I guess my favorite from Ozzy's solo career would be Crazy Train...(singing about the Cold War)..with that unforgettable
Randy Rhoads intro! I wish him well in his long overdue retirement.

I'm shocked that Ozzy has lived so long. His lifestyle was far from healthy!! One of my friends is an Ozzy fan. This guy thinks Ozzy has nine lives. Perhaps he is on to something......

Personally, I"m not a huge fan of Ozzy's music, but that guy can tell some fantastic stories!!! He has had some really comical experiences!! He has lived quite a life! It's real obvious why he is so popular.

I remember seeing a concert with Peter Frampton sitting on a chair the whole time. Wonder if Ozzy will be doing that? I seen the Sabbath "the end" video and he seemed a bit "unstable". If you can still belt out the songs i guess it doesn't matter. I remember i wanted to go to the Diary of a Madman tour when he came around. Unfortunately i didn't make it and shortly after Randy Rhoads died. It's one of the concerts i wished i would have went to see.

I saw Ozzy with Black Sabbath in '78 and he looked pretty rough. Saw him with Randy Rhoads when they came through and he looked 20 years younger. That band put on a hell of a show. boogie

The rest home approach happens often. If you liked or heard early Iron Maiden with Paul Di'anno, don't look for any recent material or live shows. Paul is "performing" from a wheelchair...rough to watch. Got to make a dollar somehow.

Ozzy was always an awesome personality. Saw him a couple times in the early days. I recall a live, pay per view cable tv concert around 1983, he performed when Brad Gillis was on guitar. Watching that at a friends place on 19" tv, smile
