have you looked at the Maxjack?
they are portable 2 post 7K lifts that only lifts the car 48" or 4 feet.

At this point I still don't want a Toyota honduh Hyundai Nissan Kia etc in my driveway even long enough for a pizza delivery person to come up to my door and deliver what they're there for. I cannot stand them. It pisses me off when I look around at a stop light and realize that I'm the only one in an American branded vehicle. I seemed to have that happen more when I had the jeeps than anything else. I've never had anything but Chrysler Dodge Plymouth or jeep. Ever. To date anyway.
If I have to deviate from that I'll probably look into buying a Tahoe

I am 62 and on month 9 and counting replacing full floor pan and swapping in a T56 magnum trans into my '69 Barracuda. Doing all work myself. But I get some young ppl over when anything heavy needs to be moved. But it does appear I am getting soft cause I am also getting the AC back in the car and swapping in power steering.

I know the years of me doing major work on old cars are numbered. But I gonna keep going as long as the body will allow me too.

yes i have, however, the floor is marginal, thickness wise, for the anchors.
i even drilled through for one anchor when i drilled the floor to mount a large vice on a 12" square piece of 1/2" plate. shock

Why not consider a resto-mod?
Best of both worlds, classic styling with modern drive train.
Putting the Gen3 motor in my 70 Challenger has completely changed the driving experience for me.
So nice to jump in and not worry about all the idiosyncrasies of the old 340.
Prices seem to be inline with a new car, and you don't need to get caught up in the matching numbers hysteria.

Yes a charger would be a great family car but my wife's still working for 2 more years and drives 100 miles a day 5 days a week. And she loves hyndais,I can't complain great cars much better the the toas I rushed to buy and overpaid for it.So shell get her new hyndai and l will get my nice muscle bbody charger,rr,coronet that we can both enjoy together. I'm retired don't need a new daily driver so our older hyndais will do the trick. cool

a resto-mod of a [pick your favorite] with a modern drivetrain, complete with suspension, [floor pan swap ?] would be the very best of both worlds, but would be way above the average guy's abilities and disposable income because of the complexities of such a swap.
also, one should be wary of one with the "hard work already done for you, only needing a few other small things done to complete". was this quality work, or just a "stab in and get running" deal ?
however, installing just the gen 3 engine and transmission is child's play anymore, with installation kits and wiring harnesses being readily available, and being somewhat realistically priced as well.
but paint and materials have skyrocketed in recent years, as well as the labor rate to do quality work. same with upholstery work. not to say a guy could not do this at home, but once again, these skills are far and above what the average joe possesses.
it boils down to the old "if you wants to play, you gots to pay" saying.
so what will it be ? a new school ride or a resto-mod ? how much do you "wants to pay to play ?"
no wonder the "rat rod/rat muscle" phenomenon is so popular these days. a ton of money saved, but having fun anyway, ala roadkill...........
just a babbling old man's opinion, who was lucky to have bought a charger CHEAP way back when they were just cars, and has been fortunate to have kept it all these years, and having fun with it again for CHEAP because he hung on to it.
your mileage will vary.
