Reused the bolts that were there. Seemed factory but looked like three different brands/stamps

I used Justice Brothers Engine Degreaser. Seemed to work better than brake clean or concentrated simple green. It was best when surface dry between applications/follow-ups. I used an air nozzle to dry. Then scrub. Then spray with hand spray bottle with water set to stream. The agitated greas-grime and degreaser would shoot off surface when the shot of water stream hit it. Then slide and dip off to a pan underneath.

Used dishwasher brush, small stiff bristle shop brush, engine cleaner bottle brushes.

Thinking about buying a group 27 repro battery.

What is the difference between early 65-68? red top and later 69-72? battery.

I have a late one with green tops I’m debating gutting and putting a small mini battery inside

They sell red tops separate ?

This is what I have. It’s got a 29…. Part number

My gut feeling is cap color has something to do with cold cranking amps maybe. or manufacturer year,,,,or both

I went with red caps

Rims powdercoated like factory grey, then painted black from front. My tires are on car. I'm just detailing hub caps more. And I've gotta change the intake gasket.

Dyno Tune by famed Nubu’s Auto Lab -Hollywood, CA (right in heart of Hollywood btw)

February 7, 1970

Done by Nubu himself.

$72 is seems like quite a bit back then. Plug, dual points, recurve vacuum advance, rejet, floats, wheel dyno run.

$4.50 Labor. Parts are $13.

They did quite a bit. at 17,000 miles

in October of same year, just 6,000 miles later (23K mi) Nubu's did another tune and adjusted the valves. $79. But in July with 20K mi the dealer did a trans service and brake adjustment & inspection and lube.

This picture stamped developed June 1974

Look at the black body putty coming out from door sill plate!

The passenger door panel still has errant assembly line upholstery glue shot on the door panel and upper door frame. Nice build quality!

It just dawned on me. That is just the wires and maybe spark plug ends.

The boots and standoffs I just took off the car, are the originals with orange engine paint from factory on them. New wires are nice Lectric Limited date coded ones with boots that stay snapped on the tubes now.

Back in the day when people would make plug wires. Vehicle log says solid core wires only replaced Apr 11, 1997 to replace previous solid cores from Feb 7, 1970 from invoice shown above.

Those solid core wires sure don't like modern timing lights BTW !!
