Just picked up a project (I start a different thread later). It came with a "spare" engine, a mid-'64 build 413 (A413). I know it's not much and it probably doesn't matter but I am curious as to how many miles are on this engine. Care to guess??

I took the plugs and distributor out and sent the camera down in the holes to check things out. It's obvious the engine has be "refreshed", but I'm not sure to what extent. Hone job, assuming (hoping) rings and bearings. Can't tell how old the cam is, almost looks too good for an original cam. No oil/grease on the outside, new motor mounts. So, since this thing was "refreshed", how many miles have been put on it?

The cylinders look like the engine may not have been run since it was refreshed but the lifter's showed the oil varnish line on them so the engine must have some miles on it. I think the cam looks new-ish as well, it doesn't appear to 10's of thousands of miles on it.
