Have these 71-74 B body tachs. What is the going rate for these? All untested...assume they need refurbished. Three 7K and one 8K complete, one parts 7K. Thanks in advance. Joe

That 8K is interesting - Doesn’t look like a reproduction to me based on the colors - I would have to see the back , is there any numbers Chrysler on the back

I have never seen a factory 8K in a 1971 B Body that I can remember , it would definitely bee early production

However I have seen 1971 B Body Factory Brochures , Chargers , Roadrunners , GTX , within some of the interior pictures you can definitely see a 8K Tachometer in those brochures


I sold some pretty nice 7K on EBay some years ago for the price range of around $200.00/$300.00 - In working condition

There is definitely a demand for them because most vendors are selling them within a complete cluster assembly , and that of course is based on condition of the complete set up

my girlfriend back in the mid 70's had a 70 barracuda gran coupe with a 340/727 combo, and the rallye dash had an 8 grand tach.

The 70/71 parts catalog and 72 part catalog show the same part number for 1971 and 1972 tachs. Granted, my 70/71 is a final print, so if there was an earlier version, I don't know. I've never had an 8000 tach here, just the 7000. I see some 'restored' 71 cars show an 8000 tach, but as these are available from a wide variety of places, including Classic Instruments, these could have been installed during the restoration.
