I've been following that kid. He is doing it all himself in a storage unit. Sounds like AMD has stepped up and provided a lot of the sheet metal to him. He's got an LS swapped Nascar themed Duster too. He has some serious skills for his age. Its been fun watching him work on it. As much as my heart would have said "go for it", the mind and body would have told me to pass. I don't think he realized how bad it was when he bought it.

I gotta tip my hat to the young man for taking that on, but I see some major problems:

Nowhere near enough interior bracing or foundational panels
Setting gaps using damaged/rust-swollen panels
A few false assumptions upon which build decisions are being made
How the body will be transferred, or a chassis slid under it, without the shell twisting or collapsing

Seems to me he's essentially working backwards.

Pretty cool. He was probably putting together MPC models before his baby teeth came in.

Back in the '80's I knew a Mopar fanatic in Calgary. He had bought a wrecked Superbird (hemi car) which had a caved in roof among other things He cut out every spot weld and reassembled the car. Some western Canadians might know him ... Steve Harris.

i wonder if he's planning on using an aftermarket chassis or putting in the factory floor pans and suspension ?
if using an aftermarket chassis, the body could be attached several different ways.
in either case, that young lad is showing tremendous talent for his age.
