Add some more threads and cut off the extra I guess? Feasible, but shouldn't have to correct seller mistake here.

Just a comment, I'd be leery of cutting more threads. Over the years I've seen pickups that appeared to have rolled threads and those that appeared to have cut threads. I saw an OEM pickup with cut threads completely fail due to vibration. Not pretty.

I saw an OEM pickup with cut threads completely fail due to vibration. Not pretty. I vaguely remember the problem being straight threads versus tapered threads. Either one can be reproduced.

Anyone else have this issue?
Original from my A12 and new repop. Pretty disappointing at $56 bucks plus shipping. The new pickup shown in that picture is the Melling 63-S4. It doesn't fit anything correctly, it's too long. We make the correct pickup that fits a 402 pan. It's not the same as any others on the market.
