This video popped up on my YouTube recommended list.
It's not so much a 'how to' but rather a 'how they did it'. I question a few aspects of it, but I think overall it's sound info. (Disclaimer, I've owned a few trucks, but never lowered them, so, what do I know?)
That's the best way to lower a Dodge truck of that era. I like short beds lowered, but not long beds. If I were to do one for myself, I would use a C or E body 8 3/4 on top of the springs as it's a bolt in and I have several, and I would change the front rotors to 4 1/2 in bolt pattern so I could use Year One 17" Rallye Wheels.

So what would you like me to say with out hurting your feelings.
My feelings aren't hurt. You missed my point. Time and time again as of late, responses start off with negative comments. Whereas before, they started off on a positive spin. Sign of the times? Or as I said, are moparts members just old and cranky now (yes, I see I am being one of them......)
Anyways......
Enjoy the video for what its worth.

I had the same thought regarding the wheels. I don't hate the charger wheels, but the YO Rallye wheels shouldn't need machining and spacers to fit.
I am not saying the truck project is bad just the wheels in my opinion are BUTT ugly. She said they were wheels used for spare tires. So they really are not a factory road wheel. Just spare temporary style rims.
I've been slammed so many times for stating my opinion on things, here on Moparts, I no longer feel much compelled to offer any opinion. Its becoming the same deal with tech advice, slam me for inaccurate advice, then repeat it using different terms.
Like so many other things, some people don't like what other's think are cool or interesting. We can like/unlike anything and no one has "hurt" feelings, or feels offeneded.
I'm in the other camp, I like "reasonably" lowered pickups. But not the ultra low slammed pickups that would stop on a pebble like your old school creeper rolling across the driveway (hate those dame things, rather just lay on cardboard sheets). And for the OP, I actually kinda like the painted steel wheels on that D150, IF the right tire sidewall/diamater is used and the tires are slightly tucked up the wheelwells. Maybe add some skinny chrome trim rings to bling up the wheels a bit?
Watched a different video a couple nights ago where they swapped in B series van lower control arms and it dropped 2" in the front. The van lower arms have a pocket for the spring to sit in that lowers it without any other modification.
As to aesthetics, I like the look of lowered trucks. Sport trucks are hardly a new thing, but I question why someone would do it to a long bed. Kind of defeats the sport aspect to me.
I don't have an issue with lowering a longbed, I want to lower my 98 2500 Cummins RWD quadcab shortbed, but add me to those are some uglyass wheels camp.
