i was of the understanding big block fuel pump push rods were to be 3.250 long.
with that said, i have several used rods that appear to have very little wear, and those all measure 3.223-3.224.
i also have a brand new howards push rod in the bag, and it measures 3.220, which is also the length printed on the bag.
so what is the real story ?
i'm tempted to tear apart the four or five complete engines i have on the rack just to see what each have.
is the howards rod a good replacement piece ?
beer
