I think the only thing available with that rolling out of Hamtrack was Chargers .

Where's Dan P , or Barry Washington?

1969 is not a year I focus on, but if it started life with 18 splines the only B-bodies produced at Hamtramck for the 1969 model year were Chargers.

Have you checked with the 1969 Charger registry yet?

I have not checked anywhere. Just posted here. I’m pretty sure it’s always been an 18 spline trans. It has the 308 bearing front and rear. I’ll post a picture of the case markings. I’m sure someone knows what they mean. It’s in a 69 Charger now but it was not an original 4 speed car. There were not that many 69 hemi or 440 Chargers made. It was in good shape until the owner took it to a transmission shop to replace the rear seal and bushing and they did not put it back together correctly. Then they informed him that it need further work and a synchro change because they took it out on a test drive and it would not “ speed shift” very well. Well when you put in the rear snap ring incorrectly and let most of the needle bearings that are in the back of the input shaft fall out, it has a tendency to not shift at all. What idiots. It’s built now with new parts and ready to go back in.

yes, the "605" number is for an 18-spline transmission & it would've been a 440HP or HEMI '69 Charger R/T

As Dan says the 605 confirms the main case is a Hemi 4speed as no 23 spline in 69 had a 308 front bearing. The rear hole in the case is the same size for a tailhousing with either a 307 or a 308 bearing as they both fit that hole in the rear of the main case.
