$48,500 SO FAR is already above where I would value the car. Nice colors and power train combo. But that car is far from perfect . I cringe every time I see a trunk finish panel painted wrong.

And who was saying the market is getting weak???

Yup, I'm with ya on all that.
I keep reading about "the market's softening/dropping", but I'm not seeing that on Mopars, GTOs, 2nd-gen Z28s, etc etc...

I see the same cars for sale as early in the year, prices creeping lower and they still sit. Hagerty index is down and has been falling all year. Cars aren’t meeting reserve. Bids end up 20-30% under the ask once auctions end in places that show such things. A car here or there in one direction or another doesn’t make a market. I’ve seen quite a few cars that would’ve been sold a year ago already. Just saw a 70 Cuda last night that I’m thinking about calling on. Would’ve been gone a year or 18 months ago. I just sent a buddy a 67 Camaro for 30k that is well under what things were bringing until sales cooled. I saw a 69 Mach 1 for a low enough price I can’t tell if it’s a scam or not, think it had a phone number though in the listing.

I’m saying the broad market is this way. Lots of the oddball stuff that was previously selling like hot cakes have come back to earth and are sub 10k cars again. Flipping new cars for profit has vanished as well.

As for this car, I think a 4 speed car, in red, would’ve be gone before the market fall at 50k. We’ll see where it ends up. It still doesn’t a market make if it ends at 60.

I don’t like the right quarter having black inside on this “32k mile” car.

I want my fair share

Here’s the Cuda. Clone I’m sure, that’s a lot of equipment for the ask, less than last year I’ll say without a doubt. Think about picking this up on an offer and then say the market hasn’t softened?

Its a clone. And IMO is priced about right. But I dont put a huge money value for clones

I'll use my car type as an example. as a friend of mine is looking for a car so Ive been watching for good cars . That being 1966-67 B bodies, Plymouth preferred .

Known sales

1967 GTX , 440 auto, black on black ( color changed from HH1 dark copper. ) Asked $59k, SOLD it in under a week for low/mid $50s

1966 Satellite hemi auto, ( Originally a 273 car ) ZZ1 Gold with white painted roof and Cytron interior. Asking $55k, SOLD it same day for damn near asking $$

1966 Satellite 383 auto, complete but non functional factory air car , Asking $30k, Im told sold it for VERY close to full asking . Friend of mine offered him $26k and was turned down said already had offers for more than that.
Factory black with red interior car helped im sure . I personally gave it some serious thoughts to pursue for my own.

My own 1966 Satellite ( RR1 yellow car ) 383 auto ( original 318 car ) Good car but not perfect. Asking $28,500 - sold it damn near full asking money in under 2 weeks

These are bottom of the market cars always called the low desirables due to model year.

My own personal car is a 1966 Hemi Satellite , Ive turned down more in the past year than I did the 1st year I owned it , A LOT more.
I had someone at Spring Fling in April this year that wouldnt take no for an answer when he asked if it was for sale . I told him $200k or leave me alone.
He didnt take offense to that and I have a feeling had I said $150k I think he would have bought the car.

Wife and 2 daughters have said no ifs to it,,,,,, my car is not for sale

That’s a 7500 trans in that Cuda, road lamps, wing, rocker moldings, rallye dash. TTIs aren’t cheap. Rim Blow. The Dana. Shaker. And if it’s a real true CA body…wow. That’s under what they had as asks before things fell.

I see much better deals all day everyday in the last 6 months. Like that one 66-7 I sent you a couple months back. It was way under last year number, way under.

Here’s another that is less than last year no doubt. I’m not familiar with a two stripe car and if it was possible, but there is plenty enough here to love and the price is well under last year.

Add to all this, scores of reserves not met on BaT, though I admit that place has never been favorable to Mopars.

I’ve even seen quite a few 68-70 Chargers priced cheaper since summer. Everything I see points to down market.

I know of 2 Chargers sold on the past 8-9 months
Both 1969s

1st 383 4spd with aftermkt air , decent car that needed some finesse imo Dealer back east bought it for upper 60s, put it right back up for sale mid 90s , Im told he sold the car

2nd 1969 RT , non matching 440 auto, 100% complete but non functional factory air , color changed car to orange( dont know original color ) rust bubble starting to appear in the lower quarters , Sold I think upper $70s or maybe low $80s ( dont remember exact amount )

A friend of mine just sold his 68 Coronet 500 maybe a month ago. Asking $39.500, sold it in less than a month for $35k , simple 318 auto with working factory air. VERY nice car you could drive anywhere anytime.

In regards to the mentioned E bodies. I would take the purple Challenger over the clone cuda any / every time. But Im not a buyer so its all moot point for me.
