A friend had this problem in his 440 Dart. He asked what I was using and ended up buy a set of Howards hydraulic rollers. Replaced the Comp's and everything was fine. Comp's are hot garbage!

No issues at all and quiet as can be.

Can you post the item number of the Howards?

It's been 8 years and I don't recall the number nor do I have it written down. Sorry, I'm usually good about remembering numbers but not this time. LOL

We have had issues with all of the different brands. Luckily, we have enough inventory of most that if we get a bad lifter. We swap it from another set and then when we accumulate an entire set of 16 bad lifters. I then return that full defective set.

We have a test fixture that we made while the lifters are submerged in oil we pump them over and over. If they pass that. Then we dyno test every engine. Some pass the text fixture test even and then fail on dyno. Quality on everything today is getting unbearable.
